In 2009, I went around India on a superbike for Castrol India. Part of my assignment was to take photos of India and blog them. In my travels I stopped over at Varanasi, a city situated on the left (west) bank of the river Ganges. It is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world and delight for photographers on any given morning. The following pictures are a selection of shots taken in a two hour time frame early morning on the ghats of Varanasi, so you can probably gauge the amount of activity going on in that place.
